Up for bid is a vintage Hoffman COUNTMASTER Model 216-1 counter unit in unknown working condition for parts or restoration. This is part of a Geiger counter system. I do NOT have the “Probe” that goes along with it. The case is steel and solid with some scratches on the bottom, but otherwise it is in good shape. This ran on batteries. This is an example of a digital display where the neon bulbs are the counter circuit and the display itself. There are four decades of display; each decade has ten neon bulbs so there are forty bulbs inside. There are many kinds of parts in here. There are also 2 vacuum tubes, a 1U5 and a 3A5. There is also an analog meter labeled MR/HR and an electromechanical timer in the upper right that gets set up to 2 minutes in duration by rotating the knob. It seems to count down fine. It measures 6 x 8.5 x 5 inches. The shipping weight should be around 6.5 pounds. Since this has pretty old electronics, it is being sold "as is" with no warranty. PAY PAL ONLY PLEASE!
